Spring Clubs 2026

Eakin Spring Clubs

Club sign-ups are now closed.

February 2 – April 9 • Registration closed on Wednesday, January 28th.

Clubs will run Monday through Thursday from 3:15 PM to 4:15 PM.

We are so excited for the upcoming spring semester and eager to bring even more enrichment opportunities to our Eakin students. This semester, we are transitioning to staff-led clubs, and we are grateful for the chance to continue growing the strong, supportive community we build together each day at Eakin.

Spring Clubs will run for nine weeks, meeting Monday through Thursday from 3:15 PM to 4:15 PM, starting February 2nd and continuing through April 9th. Please note that some clubs may run for eight weeks depending on the host.

MONDAYS

Mahjong Club with Ms. Abby $275

Open to all grades who would like to learn to play American Mahjong (following National Mahjong League rules). Game set and Mahjong cards will be provided each session. The game rules and dealing will be taught in the first few sessions, then playing and strategies taught once game rules have been learned.

Harry Potter with Ms. Emily $300

All things Harry Potter! We will read one of the books together throughout the 9 weeks, and then create themed crafts, snacks, and more!

Bloom Buddies with Ms. NeNee $250

🌸 Join Bloom Buddies! 🌱 An after-school adventure in planting, growing, and blooming together. Calling all young nature lovers! Bloom Buddies is a joyful, hands-on flower planting club where students will dig into the wonders of gardening, teamwork, and environmental care. Each week, we’ll explore the magic of seeds, soil, and sunshine while learning how flowers grow. Come and Celebrate teamwork, kindness, and community beautification!

Step Up Dance Club 1 with Ms. Sears $200

If you like to move and make noise (the good kind lol), Step Up 1 with Ms. Sears is for you! STOMP, CLAP, STEP! Beginner Step Club is a high-energy, fun-filled club where scholars learn cool step moves, loud claps, and hype chants while building rhythm, confidence, and teamwork! No experience needed- just bring your energy and get ready to MOVE!

I’m With the Band with Mr. Matty $400 (8 weeks)

If there’s one club that rocks more than the geologist’s rock club, it’s the epic after-school Eakin Live Music Club—aka “I’m With the Band!" Students will dive into the world of live music, learning not just stage performance, but also how to produce an entire live event. Topics include instrumentation, rehearsals, venue management, and event promotion—all led by educator and professional entertainer Matt “Mr. Matty” Walberg. No musical experience or instruments required (though students are welcome to bring their own). One thing’s for sure—this club is gonna rock!

TUESDAYS

Dobransky’s Dojo Island with Ms. Dobranksy $250

Through the Class Dojo Islands, students can interact with friends in an adventure zone where they can explore new maps, find hidden equations, and use teamwork to solve them.

Taylor’s Tots with Ms. Alyssa $275

🎤 Welcome to Taylor’s Tots at Eakin! 💖 Calling all little Swifties! Get ready to shake it off and step into a world of sparkle, friendship, and creativity with Taylor’s Tots—a fun after-school club where we’ll celebrate all things Taylor Swift! Hosted by the Eakin Swiftie herself, Ms. Alyssa, this club is all about music, magic, and making memories. Each week, we’ll listen to our favorite Taylor hits, create beautiful friendship bracelets, make Taylor-inspired crafts, and even write our own songs, poems, and stories—just like the mastermind herself! Each Tuesday (or as Taylor sings, a “typical Tuesday night”), we’ll meet for crafts, creativity, laughter, and maybe even a few sing-alongs. By the end of the semester, our tiny Swifties will have a collection of creations and memories to treasure forever! Includes: Friendship bracelet supplies, craft materials, and everything you need to be a true Swiftie superstar! 💫We can’t wait to see your kids sparkle, shine, and make the whole place shimmer! 🌈🎶

ASL 1 with Ms. Emily and Ms. Carmen $300

This club is for any student who is interested in learning American Sign Language as a beginner! They will be learning the fundamentals of ASL, including but not limited to the alphabet, numbers, colors, animals, etc. If they have already participated in ASL 1, please sign them up for ASL 2!

Rebuttle Rebels 3rd-5th with Ms. Folk $192

In the Speech and Debate Club, students will learn the basics of how to prepare for and participate in a debate! Our goal is to spend one week preparing arguments, evidence, and opening statements, and the following week debating. We’ll aim to complete 3–4 fun and lighthearted debates throughout the session. Students will practice public speaking, teamwork, and critical thinking—all while having fun! Debate topics will be age-appropriate and engaging.

Step Up Dance Club 2 with Ms. Sears $200

Step Up 2 with Ms. Sears is for scholars with prior step experience who are ready to level up! Participants will build on foundational skills with faster rhythms, stronger chants, and more advanced routines in a high-energy, performance-focused environment.

WEDNESDAYS

Once Upon a Craft (All Grades) with Ms. Rusk-Carter $180

Open to all grades. Step into a storybook world where every tale comes to life! In Once Upon a Craft, we read enchanting picture books and create magical crafts inspired by the stories we love. Every page turns into a new adventure for your imagination and your hands!

Puzzle Palooza with Ms. Sam $200

Do you love solving puzzles and using your creativity? Join the Puzzle Club! Each week, we’ll work together to complete jigsaw puzzles, design and build our own unique puzzle creations, and even use puzzle pieces to make amazing art. We’ll finish our nine weeks by combining our ideas to create one giant group puzzle masterpiece! Come join the fun and put the pieces together with us!

Eakin Girls Neighborhood Walking Club (3rd-5th) with Mrs. Newman and Ms. Campbell $250

What a better way to get to know the neighborhood around our school than to walk the sidewalks! Students will learn pedestrian safety, track their steps, get a 45 - min. cardiovascular workout, get to know all of the streets surrounding our school, enjoy conversation with peers and teachers, as well as get to say hello to passing neighbors!

Math Masters (4th and 5th) with Ms. Koger $270

In Math Masters, 4th and 5th grade students will take their math skills to the next level through fun, hands-on projects that connect math to the real world. Students will tackle extension activities that challenge their problem-solving and creativity—like designing a business, building structures, planning a cross country trip, or creating their own mini games. This club is all about exploring how math is used in everyday life while working together, thinking critically, and having fun!

Origami and Paper Cutting with Ms. Helen $225

Discover the art of paper folding and cutting! In this hands-on club, students will explore origami and paper cutting while developing important skills in a fun, creative environment. All materials provided, and all levels are welcomed. Your child will:
Strengthen fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
Experience geometry, symmetry, and spatial reasoning through hands-on creation
Make animals, flowers, decorations, and more from simple paper.
Practice focus and follow multi-step instructions.

ASL 2 with Ms. Emily $300

This club is for any student who took ASL 1 last semester and wants to continue increasing their knowledge! We will dive deeper into creating sentences with proper ASL structure and grammar, and expand vocabulary knowledge.

Yoga Club with Ms. Amanda $175

Yoga Club’s creative and vibrant classes teach children movement, breathing, meditation, and relaxation. Yoga poses, stories, songs and imagery blend together for a fun way to increase strength and flexibility, improve gross and fine motor skills, improve attention and focus, as well as give children useful tools for calming the mind and managing life. Taught by Eakin parent and Certified Child Yoga instructor Amanda Wentworth (C-IAYT, E-RYT500, C-RYT). *NO mats or yoga outfits please.

THURSDAYS

Movie Magic with Ms. Alyssa and Ms. NeNee $200

Calling all little movie lovers! This year, we're rolling out the red carpet for our Movie Critics Club—a fun and exciting after-school adventure where students will watch awesome movies and explore what makes them truly magical. Hosted by the fabulous Ms. NeNee and Ms. Alyssa, this club is all about diving into the world of film—from the stars on screen to the cool behind-the-scenes magic like cinematography and storytelling. We’ll explore how movies are more than just entertainment—they’re also amazing works of art! Each week, we’ll meet on Thursdays for movie fun, thoughtful discussions, creative crafts, and even some tasty light snacks. And by the end of the semester, our mini movie buffs will begin creating their own storyboards—just like real filmmakers! Includes: Weekly movie sessions, fun crafts, light snacks, and a whole lot of movie magic! We can’t wait to see your kids shine on and off the (imaginary) big screen. Let the movie magic begin!

Authors and Illustrators with Mrs. Deering $280

Join the Authors & Illustrators Club after school at Eakin Elementary! Students will have the opportunity to craft, design, and create their very own books—from story ideas to finished artwork. Completed books will be proudly shared and displayed in our Eakin Library for everyone to enjoy. Come celebrate creativity, storytelling, and imagination!

Book Buddies with Ms. Besand $250

Book Buddies is the perfect place for students who love to read! In this club, K-2 students will be paired with a 3-5 reading buddy and these pairs will get the chance to grow in their reading skills together. As you sign up, please note your student's interests and favorite books so that I can intentionally pair readers and provide brand-new books for students to take home on our final club day. Let the reading begin!

Sketchbook Squad with Ms. Markowitz $275

Students will be learning about famous artists, types of art, key elements of art, and creating their own masterpieces through guided drawing activities with Ms. Markowitz. Sketchbooks and supplies will be provided!

Cooking Club with Ms. Smith $175

We will prepare foods that are non-heated. This will range from rice-krispy treats, chex mix, variety of salads-fruit/veggie, sandwiches, etc.
