The Eakin PTO is proud to announce the return of the Eakin Theater Company. We are planning on a spring production tentatively titled: Girl Groups and Boy Band Through the Ages. It will be a musical revue with dance and a sparse libretto: Temptations, Supremes, NKOTB, TLC, etc. There will be no auditions, just commitments. There will be no upfront cost to parents. Ticket sales will cover the expenses. We aim to perform once for the school (May 1) and three open-to-the-public performances in late May.
Rehearsals will be nearly every Monday and Thursday from 3-5PM at Eakin starting in late January. This will only be open to grades 3, 4, and 5. There will be opportunities for all participants to shine. Being in the spring musical production will be a big commitment. However, we don’t want this to be in conflict with other commitments, e.g., sports teams, homework, science olympiad, clubs. We will do our best to support our players.
The production team has a meeting this coming week and we'll be back with more information imminently.
We've recruited 27 players so far. If your student might be interested, there's room. From singing and dancing to set construction and stage management, there's room for everyone.
